Crane Contract Lifts

Nova Crane Hire

Fully managed CPA contract lifts across the UK.

Overview

What Nova Crane Hire covers

Nova Crane Hire delivers fully managed CPA contract lifts nationwide. We take responsibility for the lift plan, method statements, risk assessments, the appointed person, the crane and the team — so you get a single, accountable point of contact from enquiry to sign-off.

Every contract lift is planned to BS 7121 and the CPA contract lift model conditions. Our Appointed Persons survey the site, calculate ground bearing pressures, select the right crane and rigging, and build a lift plan that is reviewed and signed off before a single outrigger is set.

On the day, an experienced lift supervisor runs the job with qualified slinger-signallers and CPCS-carded operators. We handle everything from a single tank lift in a yard to multi-crane tandem lifts on live industrial sites, including out-of-hours road closures and rail possessions.

Because the lift is fully insured and supervised by us, your team can focus on the wider project — not on lifting competence, paperwork or risk transfer.

FAQs

Common questions

What is a CPA contract lift?
Under a CPA contract lift, the crane company takes full responsibility for planning, supervising and executing the lift, including insurance for the load. It is the recommended option when the client does not have in-house lifting competence.
Do you cover the whole UK?
Yes. Nova Crane Hire operates UK-wide, with the ability to mobilise cranes, transport and crews to any site in England, Scotland and Wales.
How much notice do you need?
For standard lifts we typically need 2–3 weeks to plan, survey and mobilise. Emergency and short-notice lifts can often be arranged inside a week — call us to discuss.
